We believe that this project will significantly help children with hearing loss in East Africa have the choice to develop listening and spoken language and to be integrated into an inclusive society.
OUR MISSION
Our Long Term Mission:
To establish Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) in East Africa and the related pathway from diagnosis to expert intervention. This will enable parents of young children with hearing loss in East Africa to have access to and the choice of a LSL outcome.
A LSL Outcome Requires:
· Early and accurate diagnosis within the
first year of life
· State-of-the-art, expertly-programmed hearing technology such as hearing aids
and cochlear implants
· Parents empowered and involved
· Highly qualified local professionals
Everything we do is working towards the above four aims, working in partnership with local organisations.
