Fees
Fees ExplainedA principle of AVT is that it is diagnostic in nature; during every AV session, together with the parents, we carefully monitor the child’s progress and identify those areas that have strengths or areas requiring more intense work.
First Session
Initial AVT session
The first session is a focussed diagnostic and informative session which can last up to 2 hours. This session can be done by zoom so that the child is in their own home or in person in Cabra or Banbridge.
The two hours can be split into 2 or 3 sessions – it does not have to be all at the same time, depending on the child and parent. The initial discussion with the parent can be at an earlier time before we meet for the observation. And the final discussion can follow at a time when convenient.

• a detailed discussion with the parent(s) regarding the child’ parents need to provide updated audiological information including any audiology tests, audiograms and language e.g. ABR tests. • a detailed discussion with the parent(s) regarding the child’ parents need to provide updated audiological information including any audiology tests, audiograms and language e.g. ABR tests.
• an observation of around 30 minutes. During this time, the parent(s) chooses any kind of activity to do with the child while I observe. This provides valuable information regarding the child’s listening skills, language and play skills.
• a follow-up discussion summarising my observations.
• a written report summarising my observations.
